Rule 1: You may only have one account. D&D characters tend to be more numerous and disposable than other roleplays, and creating a new account for each character would lead to having far too many accounts and too many incomplete records.
Rule 2: New characters need to be placed in the aptly named "New Characters" board. You may edit your character's profile as much as you wish in this stage. The DM of your campaign is responsible for looking over your character profile and determining whether it is acceptable for his/her campaign or not. When the DM has done so, they will PM one of the admins and we will transfer the file over to the "Accepted Characters" board, in a subboard appropriate to that campaign.
Rule 3: While you may have multiple characters per account, you cannot have the same character in more than one campaign at any one time. Posting with the same person - even if he, she, or it is a different level for different campaigns - stands to be too confusing for both observers and the DMs responsible for that character. Though if you really like that character so much, there is nothing to stop you from using it in multiple campaigns at different times in your life, even if said character "died" in another game.
Rule 4: If you are done with a character, please PM the admins saying so. We will then transfer the file over to the "Discarded Characters" board. They will be saved there for posterity, but if you desire to play with them again at a later date in another campaign, please PM the admins saying so. We will transfer the file over to the "New Characters" board, and then see Rule 2.
Rule 5: Please respect other people's property - intellectual or otherwise - when making your characters. Parodies are acceptable (and well-played ones tend to be hilarious), but please avoid copying other player's characters on this site or others, unless you yourself created them. If you choose to include a picture from an art site with your character's profile, please seek permission from that artist first.
